No Vista in Amazon’s top 10 notebooks

Zip, nada,  ggoooooseegggg. We’ve told you so. Amazon is one of the world’s leading sellers of laptop computers and the big zero Monkeyboy is showing you with both hands is how many of Amazon’s top 10 sellers come with Vista installed. Steve, the reason the ever thinning Mr Jobs and the Penguin are taking market share from you is because, on low power notebooks, the OS no one really wanted to begin with (Vista) really sucks. Maybe you should open source it and sell “premium” distributions of the community improved version.

You may have noticed when we looked at the top 10 tech items being sold on Amazon the other day that there were no Vista-based laptops on there. That’s because the Vista laptops are more like top 25 material. After all, the high system requirements have prevented many people with desktops from making the switch; so it’s natural that notebooks would have an even lower pickup rate (Crunchgear)
